Here a wonderfully uplifting story of an eagle and the man who saved him. And a man and the eagle who saved him.

Enjoy.
This video is wonderfully inspiring and made me a little teary-eyed.
We all remember Patrick Swayze from the classic film, Dirty Dancing, and we have all been saddened by the news of his recent pancreatic cancer.
Even sadder is the fact that he still can't stop smoking! A photo of him is ciruclating with a cigarette hanging from his mouth and apparently his doctors have begged him to quit. One third of pancreatic cancer is caused by cigarette smoking.
I wish I could tell him that I could help him and that he can quit smoking easily with my hypnosis program.
Don't let this be you or someone you love. Get help!

The Good Carbs - Whole Grains
Originally uploaded by austin-hypnosis
There are some things I say over and over again in my weight loss program:
1. White flour carbs and sugar cause weight gain and a host of other health problems
2. Whole grain carbs are the good guys. They aid digestion, strengthen the heart and do not cause an insulin rush (i.e., weight gain). Look for the word "whole" when buying whole grain breads. "Multi-grain" is not necessarily "whole grain." Neither is "All Natural Wheat." Food companies try to confuse us. Look for the words "whole grain" or "whole wheat."
3. Try some new whole grains. Some of my favorites are whole wheat cous cous and quinoa (in bulk bags in the photo). They are quick to make and delicious. Quinoa especially has a slightly nutty flavor.
Many 2008 goals are for more prosperity!
I'd like to share with you a class that a friend of mine is organizing Wise, Wealthy Women Meetings, organized through the meetups.com web site. The next one is Jan. 12. It's financial literacy for women and each meeting covers a different topic and helps you change your beliefs about money. Taye is an intelligent and beautiful woman and this is her mission in life. I give her a strong recommendation. If you are interested, please join the meetup group and ask about upcoming topics.

Watch the video on this page! It's great. I could listen to him talk all day.

I hope everyone had a great holiday season. I know that I did. Now it's time to make the most of 2008.
Take advantage of the new beginnings / fresh start energy that is all around this time of year to set some goals for 2008. Goals are large and sweeping, like:
I want to lose weight.
I want to be more organized.
After you set your goals, take some time and set intentions for each goal. Your intentions are real, live actions you can do now to support your goals. If your goal is to lose weight, your intentions for this week might be:
Start using smaller plates at dinner.
Put gym clothes where they are easy to access from work or home.
Go through cupboard and throw away junk food and candy.
If your goal is to be more organized, your intention might be to buy a new calendar, keep a to do list in your purse or briefcase, and set your computer to send you reminders.
Goals won't work without the real actions that support them. This is where the rubber meets the road and where you can get real traction and forward momentum. Pick up a pen and do it now!

One Year Ago...I remember last year when Ellen Degeneres listed her new year resolutions in Parade Magazine.
Her success with hypnosis caused her to write her #2 Resolution as, "Continue to be hypnotized."
In early 2007, Ellen DeGeneres appeared on the Tonight Show where she spoke positively about hypnosis and how it helped her. She quit smoking among other things!
Go Ellen! Go Hypnosis!
